How Many Products Can One Oil Replace?

Face, hair, body. Count yours.

Count the bottles on your shelf. A serum for the face. A cream for the eyes. A lotion for the body. A treatment for the hair. A perfume on top of it all. Each one has its own ingredient list, its own preservatives, its own fragrance, and most of them are strangers to each other.

Before beauty had aisles, it had one vessel of oil. The same rose oil anointed the face, smoothed the hair and softened the body. Not because people had less, but because the skin everywhere asks for the same thing.

Why one oil can do all three

Skin and hair are built from the same materials. Both are protected by lipids, and both lose them to sun, heat, water and age. An infusion of Damask rose petals in jojoba and sweet almond gives back exactly those lipids. Jojoba resembles the skin's own sebum so closely that the skin accepts it as its own, on the cheek and on the scalp alike. Sweet almond carries oleic acid and vitamin E. The rose brings what the petal holds, vitamins A, C, E and K, polyphenols and antioxidants, at the strength the flower itself carries them.

Nothing in that list needs the word face or body in front of it. The formula does not change. Only the place you press it.

Face

Two drops at night, warmed between the palms, pressed into clean, slightly damp skin. Press, never rub. In the morning, one drop under sunscreen if the skin runs dry.

Hair

One drop, worked through the ends while the hair is damp, or pressed over the lengths on dry hair to calm frizz and bring back light. On the scalp, a few drops before washing, left for twenty minutes.

Body

Three to four drops on damp skin after the shower, while the warmth is still there. The water on the skin spreads the oil, and the oil seals the water in. Elbows, shoulders, the length of the legs.

And the scent comes with you

Because the infusion carries the rose at petal strength, every one of these gestures leaves a trace of scent. One bottle quietly replaces the serum, the body lotion, the hair treatment, and some days the perfume too.

The ETHERNAL Signature Oil, 30 ml, is this one oil: about 2,100 Damask rose petals, jojoba and sweet almond, made for face, hair and body. The 10 ml Perfume Oil is the same infusion in a roll on, made for pulse points.
